Coordinator of Archives and Special Collections with rank of Assistant Professor

Bethany Fiechter (FEEK-ter) provides leadership and direction for activities within the Archives and Special Collections. Prior to working at DePauw, Bethany was the head of the Rare Books and Manuscripts Division at the Indiana State Library and the archivist for manuscript and digital collections at Ball State University. She received her AS in graphic design from Vincennes University; BA in art history with a minor in religious studies from the Herron School of Art, Indiana University Purdue University-Indianapolis and MLS with a specialization in Archives and Record Management from Indiana University-Bloomington. Bethany is a member of the Society of American Archivists, Midwest Archives Conference and Society of Indiana Archivists. She currently serves as a board member on the State Historic Records Advisory Board and the Putnam County Heritage Preservation Society. Her interests include project management, exhibition design and enhancing access to archival collections.
