Dr. Lisa M. Pratt, Provost Professor and Chair of the Department of Geological Sciences, Indiana University and Chair of the NASA Mars Exploration Analysis Group, visited DePauw to give a series of lectures about Mars to several groups on campus.
Dr. Pratt gave a Tuesday evening lecture "The Scientific Imperative for Seeking Evidence of Life on Mars" followed by a more informal presentation at lunch on Wednesday about recent findings by the Curiosity project. She also found time during her visit to make some geoscience and physics classroom visits.
