Admission Counselor

Ann Sarkisian

Ann graduated from DePauw in May 2014 and is eager to return to campus in a different role. Graduating with a B.A. in English Literature, Ann was inducted into the DePauw chapter of Phi Beta Kappa as well as the National College Athlete Honor Society. She played for the DePauw Women’s Basketball team for four years, winning the 2013 D-III National Championship her junior year. She also served as a First Year Mentor, a Senior Intern in the Admission Office, and was selected as an alternate for a Fulbright English Teaching Assistantship in Armenia.

Ann’s liberal arts experience allowed her to explore each of her interests, from English and art history, to personal training and reading the morning news for 91.5 WGRE, DePauw's student-run radio station. She even got to travel to Italy and Ireland without interfering with basketball season. She hopes to share her experiences with high school students so that they can see all that DePauw has to offer, no matter their goals.

Ann loves an adventure. She enjoys wandering around new places, finding "hidden treasures" along the way. When time permits, Ann likes to find a quiet place to journal. One of her favorite things about traveling is returning home to Valparaiso, Indiana where she can find a home-cooked meal and her two golden retrievers—Sonny and Senator—eagerly awaiting a run through the neighborhood.
