Why We Give

Gifts In Action

A $5 million gift from M. Scott and Kimberlee A. Welch has made possible the expansion of the Lilly Physical Education and Recreation Center. Their gift made possible the two-story addition of a state-of-the-art, 16,000-square foot fitness center.

The Welch Fitness Center provides the primary training facility for each of DePauw's varsity teams and for the campus community. The new facility more than triples the size of the existing fitness center. With the increased footprint, the facility will provide a venue fully capable of accommodating DePauw’s integrated training model—the University’s preferred approach—in which student-athletes train alongside students who don't compete in intercollegiate athletics.

Alumni & Friends

The alumni network is an essential piece of the DePauw experience. All alumni are encouraged to engage with the University and impact the lives of students by attending events, making a gift, volunteering their time and connecting with our global network.
