A team of International Student Ambassadors provides guidance, support, and friendship to first-year international students as they adjust to academic and social life at DePauw. Ambassadors communicate with students during the summer before their arrival, guide students through International Student Orientation (ISO), and support students in their first months on campus.
Ambassadors go through a rigorous selection and training process and meet regularly with ISA staff throughout the year. ISA opens applications for the next academic year during the Spring Semester.

Hello Future Tigers! I'm Prem Kumar, a rising junior from Jacobabad, Pakistan. Bao Han (Sunny) Nguyen
Hello everyone, my name is Sunny Nguyen, and I am a rising junior at DePauw. It's a great honor for me to be your leader of ambassadors this year. Dipson Pradhan
Hey there! My name is Dipson, and I am thrilled to be your lead international student ambassador this year! I am a senior international student from Kathmandu, Nepal, majoring in geology and minoring in physics and mathematics. My journey at DePauw has broadened my horizons and has been nothing but fun and exciting, and I know all of yours will be, too.
As your go-to resource for all things international student-related or DePauw-related, I'm here to support, guide, and connect with students from around the globe and help you navigate the ins and outs of living in a foreign land. Whether you need help adjusting to the new culture here, figuring out how to connect to the wifi/printer, or simply need a friendly face to talk with, I'll be there. Hey Future Tigers! I am Samman Shakya, a rising senior from Kathmandu, Nepal, majoring in Computer Science. Outside classes, I am involved in DePauw’s South Asian Student Society as the president. Hi class of 2028! My name is Ella, I'm a rising sophomore from Casablanca, Morocco, and I'm majoring in Pre-Engineering and Mathematics. Throughout my time at DePauw, I have been involved with Alpha Chi Omega, African Student Association, Muslim Student Association, Moroccan Student Association and the Math Club.
As a first generation college student, I had concerns about this new experience. But, the people I have met at DePauw have really made feel like at home. I have made true connections with amazing people here and I am forever grateful for it. I am excited about being an international ambassador and helping all of you start this new amazing adventure. Hello! My name is Beamlak or Pony and I am an international student from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. I am currently double majoring in Global Health and Political Science with a minor in English Writing. Hey Tigers! I'm Lamberto Alberici, a rising sophomore from Milano, Italy. I plan to double major in Computer Science and Business Analytics. During my freshman year I've tried to capitalise my experience through making lots of friends and taking part in various activities. I am part of the volleyball club, where I met excellent people and I worked as a tutor in the Italian department. I spend my free time by playing sports, such as basketball or volleyball, or by hanging out with friends. I'm Ninaad Dutta, a rising junior from Gurgaon, India. My major is business analytics along with minors in media studies and entrepreneurship. I'm the president of DePauw Futbol (Played soccer since I was a kid) and secretary of the Cricket Club. I work with Intramurals and the Athletics Event staff as well. I enjoy adventurous activities, exploring new places, and spending time with my friends.
