Professor of Geosciences Jim Mills was one of this year's recipients of the Exemplary Teaching Award that is presented by the General Board of Higher Education of the United Methodist Church. This award recognizes faculty members who "exemplify excellence in teaching; civility and concern for students and colleagues; commitment to value-centered education; and service to students, the institution and the community. Jim is certainly a worthy recipient of this award due to all of his hard work and dedication to the students, the Department, and the University.
