Professor of Geosciences Fred Soster begins his 32nd year of teaching at DePauw with a new title…Chair of the Department of Geosciences. Fred takes over at the helm of the department for Jim Mills, who just completed two 3-year terms as chair. Fred is not a rookie to his new role, however, as he has already served an extended 11-year stint as chair. We're fortunate to have his experience and leadership, and are sure that the department remains in capable hands.
