Angelique Serrano

Admission Intern

Angelique Serrano is a senior from Chicago, IL. She is a first-generation college student studying Communication and Education Studies. Angelique is a recipient of the Posse Scholarship and reflects her leadership through various organizations on campus. Her favorite aspect of DePauw is the strong sense of community on campus and the support students and staff members offer each other. She also enjoys the open door policy several campus offices follow because it gives students the opportunity to build connections easily with both staff and faculity members.

In her time at DePauw University, Angelique has worked as a First-Year Resident Assistant during her sophomore and junior year, and this year, she is a Community Resource Assistant, working with upperclassmen students in university housing. In addition to this role on campus, Angelique currently serves as Treasurer and formerly served as the Public Relation Chair for X-Cell Step and Dance Team. She also currently serves as co-President of Oxfam Club at DePauw. Angelique has previously done community service at Greencastle Middle School through Student Friend and has interned with the Compton Center for Peace and Justice. On the weekends, you can find Angelique at football games supporting our tigers as a DePauw Cheerleader.

Angelique enjoys painting and creating new décor for her room and her sisters. She also enjoys long walks and riding her bike through campus and Greencastle. Her favorite spot on campus is Stewart Plaza because of its open space and calming presence generated from the fountains.

After graduation, she plans on getting her Master’s Degree in Higher Education and go into student affairs.
