Campus Jobs
Earn while you learn.
Campus jobs help you cover educational and personal expenses and build professional experience before graduation. The Student Employment Office coordinates on-campus opportunities for DePauw students, with work-study eligibility determined through the financial aid process.
Where DePauw students work
There are student positions in nearly every department and building on campus, for students of all skill levels and interests. Students work in places like:
- Libraries: circulation assistants, research assistants and student managers
- Academic support: STEM guides and tutors
- Student services offices: Registrar's Office, Office of Student Life, Hubbard Center
- Athletics: Student media and event coverage, Fitness Center operations
- Campus Services: Center for Diversity and Inclusion, the post office
- Admission and administrative offices
What is work-study?
Work study is a financial aid award that you earn by working. It is not a grant or a loan. You get a paycheck for hours you work, up to the amount of your award for the year.
- Federal Work-Study is awarded based on financial need
- DePauw (Institutional) Work-Study is DePauw funding set aside to give students the opportunity to work on campus.
Either type lets you apply for any position on the student employment job board. Federal Work-Study students can also be paid for community service through off-campus opportunities. Work-study eligibility is determined by the financial aid process, and you'll see it in your financial aid package.
Two ways to work on campus
With work-study
Federal Work-Study or DePauw (Institutional) Work-Study is included in your financial aid package. It is determined through the financial aid process.
- Apply for any position on the student employment job board
- Earn up to your award amount for the academic year
- Check your package in Workday or ask Financial Aid
Without work-study
You can still work on campus, though options are narrower.
- Open positions requiring specific skills or specializations
- Apply through the same Workday listings
