Associate Director of Financial Aid

Toni M. Robinson joined DePauw University as the Associate Director of Financial Aid in March 2017 after holding the position of Associate Director of Music Admission since August 2015. Toni came to DePauw from the University of Kentucky College of Law (UK Law) where she had served as the Director of Admissions since April 2013. Prior to UK Law, Toni was the Admissions Counselor for the University of Louisville (UofL) School of Music.


She received her B.A. in Music and Minor in Political Science from UofL in 1999 and her J.D. from UK Law in 2002. While a student at UK Law, Toni was a member of the Trial Advocacy Board, Black Law Students’ Association, and the Journal of Natural Resources & Environmental Law. She had the opportunity to clerk at the Fayette Commonwealth Attorney’s Office, the former firm of Savage, Garmer, Elliot, and O’Brien, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky. After law school, she went on to obtain her M.A. in Arts Administration from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University (IU) in 2004. During her study at IU, Toni worked at the African American Arts Institute as the African American Choral Ensemble’s Road Manager, as well as the Institute’s Booking Agent.  


Following her academic pursuits, Toni started her career in orchestra management where she worked with the Fort Wayne Philharmonic as the Assistant to the Director of Education and Operations followed by the Louisville Orchestra where she held the positions of Operations Manager and Director of Operations.
