BA DePauw University, Magna Cum Laude, Art History, 2015

Thesis: “The Exquisite Destruction: A Dialogue between the Surrealist Exquisite Corpse and Sabina Spielrein”

Research Interests:

My scholarly focus is on modern and contemporary art, frequently coming back to the movements of Dada and Surrealism. Both movements constructed and incorporated games of chance into their aesthetic. My research studies these games and their relevancy to the psychoanalysis movement of the time, as well as their relevancy to media theory and feminist theory.

As an artist, I predominately utilize collage and performance to explore the absurd disease of common human apathy and how that translates into media, capitalism, and banal existence.
