From the desk to the campaign trail for the American presidency, at DePauw I am receiving the leadership tools and mentoring to confidently lead others and influence the issues of today.

Politics, People and DePauw
DePauw gives me more than an education; it empowers me to reach beyond the classroom to achieve my fullest potential.
I came to DePauw interested in political science but unsure of the path I would take. On campus, I took hold of opportunities to learn about other students’ stories and diverse perspectives, which grew my passion for politics. I started writing about politics and womanhood for the school newspaper, The DePauw. These steps led to a mentorship with a DePauw alumna and Associate Director in the White House who shared my love for politics, people and DePauw.
At DePauw, one great opportunity evolves into another. My mentorship led to an invitation to work on Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, interning at her campaign headquarters in Brooklyn, serving a month in Iowa before the caucus, and working a semester in the swing-state of Ohio. From the desk to the campaign trail for the American presidency, at DePauw I am receiving the leadership tools and mentoring to confidently lead others and influence the issues of today.
