DePauw Wind & Percussion Day 2024

Enjoy a day of music with the DePauw University applied music faculty on our beautiful campus in Greencastle, Indiana! Attendees will take part in master classes with our world-class instrumental wind and percussion faculty, participate in a large ensemble experience (which will include learning about conducting, large ensemble performance techniques, and repertoire selection), enjoy lunch in our expansive Hoover Dining Hall, take admission walks around campus, and a have a personal Q & A session with our applied faculty.

The DePauw University School of Music welcomes all interested high school woodwind, brass, and percussion students to participate in our inaugural Wind & Percussion Day!  We recommend registering early to ensure a spot in this exciting new event.

8:30–9 am  Registration
9–10 am  Welcome; Introduction of APPLIED FACULTY and events for the day; mini-recital with faculty and/or select students
10–11 am  Master class #1
11 am–Noon  Ensemble experience: conducting, performance techniques, and repertoire selection
Noon–12:30 pm  Lunch at Hoover Hall
12:30–1:20 pm  Admission “walks"
1:30–2:30 pm  Master class #2
2:30–3:30 pm  Q & A with faculty panel/wrap-up
