Singaporean soprano Janani Sridhar is equally at home in opera and on the concert stage. Her performance engagements have taken her around Europe, Asia, and America. She is also an avid recitalist known for her diverse and engaging programming.

Mary Martin

Ms. Martin earned her B.M. and M.M. Vocal Performance degrees from the University of Michigan, where she had the honor of singing the Star-Spangled Banner for President Obama in the Michigan Football Stadium. She is currently completing her doctorate degree at Indiana University, where she studies with Carol Vaness and was a recent recipient of the Sarah Joan Tuccelli-Gilbert Memorial Fellowship.

Barbara Paré

Barbara Paré is an Assistant Professor of Music in the DePauw School of Music, where she teaches applied voice to School of Music and College of Liberal Arts students. In addition, Professor Paré is a faculty member for the Community Music School, a resource that offers music training and education for learners of all ages.

Eric Schmidt

Eric Schmidt joined the faculty at the DePauw School of Music in 2018. He is the Director of Choirs and teaches classes in the school’s 21CM Initiative. Outside of the University, he works extensively as a performer, studio conductor, and clinician.

Maria Lyapkova

A native of Moscow, Russia, Dr. Maria Lyapkova has appeared at international music festivals including the Aspen Music Festival & School (United States), Spotlight on Young Musicians (France), and the Music of Norway (Norway/Russia). An accomplished collaborative pianist, she has performed with principals of leading orchestras such as the San Francisco Ballet Orchestra, the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, and The Bolshoi Theatre.

Deb Grammel

Under the direction of George Verdak, Deborah Grammel has performed in the following classical ballets: Les Sylphides, Swan Lake, Raymonda, The Nutcracker and Sleeping Beauty. In conjunction with her studies at Butler University, she also trained in Michigan City, New York City, Houston, Chicago, and Miami.

Cara Consilvio
Opera Director
Cara Consilvio is a director and producer of opera, theater, and film with extensive experience in dance and choreography whose inventive, kinetic, and evocative productions are in great demand. In 2022, Cara directed the world premiere of I Give You my Home for Guerilla Opera, Glory Denied for Opera Naples and The Sound of Music for Charlottesville Opera.
