Tps:Religion & the Meaning of Life

The course explores the fundamental question whether life has meaning. It poses the question and explores its relationship to religion as the human quest for meaning. Through reading and critical reflection on a variety of literary and other selected texts, the course shows how the question of meaning, important in the study of religion, is central to humankind's experience of the world. In relation to the Liberal Arts tradition, the course develops students' skills in meaning production, critical thinking, good writing, effective communication, and the art of storytelling.
