Glenn T. Prickett Glenn T. Prickett is senior vice president for business and U.S. government relations at Conservation International (CI), a nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting the Earth's biodiversity.
He founded and continues to direct the Center for Environmental Leadership in Business (CELB), a division of CI that engages the private sector worldwide in creating environmental solutions to global environmental problems. CELB works with leading firms in key industries, including natural resources, agriculture, travel and leisure, transportation, finance and information technology to create business practices that reduce industry's ecological footprint, contribute to conservation and create value for the companies that adopt them. Examples of this work can be found in Footprints in the Jungle: Natural Resource Industries, Infrastructure and Biodiversity Conservation.
Prior to joining CI, Prickett served as chief environmental advisor for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and senior associate with the International Program of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC).
He currently serves on the boards of the Keystone Center, Northern Virginia Conservation Trust and the Great Falls Citizens Association.
Prickett graduated from Yale University in 1988 with a B.A. in economics and political science. He lives in Great Falls, Va., with his wife, Lisa, and sons Benjamin and Jed. In addition to his family and conservation, Glenn's other passion is music. He is currently the drummer for the Oxymorons, a Washington D.C. band that plays blues, rock and funk.
