Prof. Matt Balensuela is Editor of New Journal of Music History Pedagogy

September 1, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — A new online journal on the teaching of music history -- which is edited by Matthew Balensuela, professor of music at DePauw University -- is available beginning today.  The Journal of Music History Pedagogy is a bi-annual, peer-reviewed, open-access work dedicated to the publication of original articles and reviews related to teaching music history of all levels (undergraduate, graduate, or general studies) and disciplines (western, non-western, concert and popular musics). The JMHP is a publication of the Pedagogy Study Group of the American Musicological Society.

Dr. Balensuela notes, "The JMHP is the first journal devoted to pedagogy in the profession; this is an extension of my sabbatical work from last year."
