Faces of DePauw

Jessica Levy ’23 Alumni

The amazing thing about the liberal arts is it offers you the ability to get involved in everything you want to and more.

From Intern to Analyst

I chose DePauw because I was looking for a management, finance or economics academic program that would provide me with an expansive alumni network, internship opportunities and potential job opportunities. I also wanted to collegiate play volleyball.

Participating in the Management Fellows Program was awesome and provided me with a lot of networking opportunities as well as internship opportunities.

Through this program, I had a semester-long investment banking internship with KeyBanc Capital Markets. I was actually lucky enough to be offered a full-time position as an investment baking analyst following graduation. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity and could not have done it without the people at DePauw.

I was also able to have – through my networking opportunities – two other internships, one at Swiss Re, where I was a tax intern. There I co-authored and published an article, “Applying the 8th Amendment to Civil Tax Penalties,” which was a really awesome experience and something I had never done before.

I also interned at Citizens Bank with their leveraged finance group. And through that experience, I was able to connect with many DePauw alumni. I was co-president of DePauw’s Investment Banking Workshop. During my sophomore year, we won the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG) Cup. It’s a regional competition through CASE. And that was a really amazing experience, and it’s what got me interested in investment banking.
