Organismal Biology

(formerly BIO 135) Includes laboratory. With an emphasis on land plants and animals, this course provides an introduction to the evolution of the structure-function relationships that characterize these organisms. Topics covered include the evolution of adaptations associated with nutrition, internal transport, gas exchange, water and ion balance, growth, reproduction, development and integration of activities. Prerequisite: BIO 101 and BIO 102. Not open to students with credit in BIO 135.
