Students will develop an understanding of the major financial decisions within the firm that impact the value of the firm. This course will cover the importance of ethical evaluation and analysis in finance. Topics include ethical issues related to stakeholders, agency theory, the time value of money, risk and return in the context of equities and bonds, interest rates and the term structure, risk management and firm investment decisions, capital budgeting, optimal capital structure, and dividend policy. Prerequisites: ECON 100.
