290A: Tps:Physical Activity and Health throughout the Lifespan

This course will provide an introduction to physical activity and sedentary behavior. Students will explore the benefits of physical activity related to physical and mental health. Course readings and class discussions will include a focus on the impact of physical activity on children, adults and older adults. In addition, the course will explore physical activity guidelines beyond the United States and the impact of physical activity and sedentary behavior as it relates to issues of public health across the globe.
