Rebecca Bordt is Otto L.Sonder Jr. Professor of Sociology & Anthropology. Her research and teaching interests include criminology, the sociology of organizations, and gender studies. She is currently working on a sociological analysis of prison narratives written by prisoners. She has published on women's prison narratives, classroom teaching strategies, women*s non-profit organizations, feminist collectives, and gender differences in criminal court sentencing. She teaches introductory sociology, social theory, criminology, intimate violence, and a course on prisons.
