Susan Hahn

Professor of English


Susan Hahn's area of interest is the history of the novel; her dissertation, at the University of California, Santa Barbara, focused on Thomas Hardy. She taught literature and writing for ten years at California Lutheran University, where she founded and administered the Writing Center and coordinated the Women's Studies Minor. Susan came to DePauw in 1996 to direct the Writing Center and coordinate placement; she continues to teach literature, college writing, and women's studies courses. She has presented papers on feminist issues for the last eleven years, and is currently working on Willa Cather and Edith Wharton.
