Application Process for International Students

We require that the documents are sent to us in both the original language of issuance (if it is a language other than English) AND translated into English. Translations should be verified by either your school(s), or a local EducationUSA office.

If you come from a country where you have taken national, regional, or state board examinations (such as the Indian CBSE/ISC/State Board, the African WAEC, the Cambridge IGCSE, GCSE, etc.), we require that your counselor submit your exam results along with your high school records.

Please note that we will not accept documents that are sent by the applicant with their supplemental application materials, even if the envelope is sealed and stamped. They must be sent to us directly from your school’s counseling or administration office, either through the Common Application, or through mail!!  We will NOT accept these documents via e-mail.

If you are admitted and decide to enroll at DePauw, we will also require that you submit proof of graduation in addition to a final, official transcript.

The total estimated amount that must be shown in order to qualify for an I-20 form from DePauw for the 2023 – 24 academic year is $71,920 (less any financial awards for which you may qualify). Please note that this estimated number is subject to change once tuition has been officially set by the university later this year.

The breakdown of this estimate for the 2023 – 24 academic year is as follows:

Tuition and fees - $56,030
Room and Board - $14,850
TOTAL - $71,920

Depauw university certification of finances (required)

DePauw University offers similar level of financial aid assistance to international students and U.S. citizens and permanent residents. All international applicants are required to submit the DePauw University Student Certification of Finances, regardless of whether or not they want to be considered for need-based financial aid.

Once you submit your application, our Certification of Finances document will become available via your online portal.  No other forms (i.e. International Student Financial Aid Application or CSS Profile, etc.) will be accepted in it's place.

Supporting Financial documentation is required as part of the financial aid review process. Examples of acceptable financial documents include:

• Recent Official bank statement (less than 6 months old)

• Employment letters verifying parent income

• Letter of financial support from private sponsor
