Community Music Program
The Community Music Program provides musical instruction through one-on-one lessons in strings, woodwinds, brass, percussion, piano, and voice. Students will be assigned an instructor and receive approximately ten lessons each semester. Additionally, the Community Music Program offers Kindermusik classes that foster children’s musical growth and develop the whole child, as well as dance classes in ballet, pointe, and adult tap for enthusiasts all ages.Learn More
Youth Strings Program
The partnership between the DePauw School of Music and Tzouanakis (TZ) Intermediate School has provided more than 600 students with violin lessons free of charge. Every TZ fourth-grader receives nine lessons during the school day. Those wishing to continue study can do so throughout fourth and fifth grade by participating in weekly classes.Email for More Information
Greencastle Middle School Jazz Program
The DePauw School of Music and Greencastle Middle School provides 6-8 graders with the opportunity to explore their own creativity by learning to improvise and perform in a jazz band. Instruction is provided by Steven Snyder, DePauw’s director of jazz studies, and students from the DePauw School of Music.Email for more information
