Empty Bowls, Spring 2023

March 6, 2023

Ceramics students at DePauw University will host an Empty Bowls Community Meal at 6pm on April 27th, 2023 to raise money and awareness about food insecurity in our community.

More than 75 students have contributed to this Empty Bowls project by creating handmade ceramic bowls and assisting the staff at the New Life Food Pantry. At the community meal, guests will choose one of these bowls to eat from and take it home after the event as a reminder of the importance of this issue. Tickets will go on sale in early April and allstudents holding ceramic bowls proceeds from the event will be donated to the New Life Food Pantry. Contact meredithbrickell@depauw.edu to be added to the email list and follow @depauwceramics on instagram for updates.
