Kay Pashos '81 to Lead Indiana Operations of Two Merged Utilities

Pashos, president of PSI Energy and 1981 graduate of DePauw University, will lead the Indiana utility operations of Cinergy Corp. and Duke Energy once the merger of the two companies is completed. Cinergy is the parent company of PSI Energy Inc., Indiana's largest electric supplier, providing electric service to over 700,000 customers in 69 of Indiana's 92 counties.

"With Kay leading Indiana's largest electric utility, the state will continue to have strong leadership after the new company is formed," says James Turner, who will lead the new company's franchised electric and gas commercial functions in the United States.

"Pashos, 46, has been PSI Energy president since December 2004," notes Inside Indiana Business. "She will be responsible for regulatory and legislative strategy and affairs, rates, economic development, and customer and community relations for the electric utility. will report to James Turner, who was earlier named to lead the new company's franchised electric and gas commercial functions in the United States... She has held positions of increasing responsibility and served as lead counsel in numerous major regulatory proceedings. Prior to joining PSI, she was an associate attorney with Best & Flanagan in Minneapolis. Pashos graduated from the Northwestern University School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University. She was born and raised in Indianapolis."
