"I had in my head that I wanted to do something different after retirement," Branneman tells the Bedford Times-Mail. "I looked around and saw this position was open and decided to apply."

The story announcing his appointment notes his DePauw degree. Of his new job, Branneman says, "I believe this will be different and more relaxing. I won’t be bound by bells and extra-curricular activities. My immediate plan is to get out and meet all the people at the attractions throughout the county listed in our brochure."
