November 18, 2011

103104November 18, 2011, Greencastle, Ind. — "Since her first unpublished prekindergarten works of Susie Skunk and Connie Raccoon, Brazil resident Marjorie E. Hopkins says she has always wanted to write," begins an article in the Terre Haute Tribune-Star. "Graduating from DePauw University with a bachelor's in English composition set her up to accomplish her goal."

The article notes the publication of a new book by Marjorie (Schlatter) Hopkins, a 1979 graduate of DePauw. "Her passion for writing, her deep Christian faith and her work alongside her husband in his first business combined for her to produce Dying to Meet Him: Wit and Wisdom from a Funeral Director's Wife," reports the newspaper. "This thought-92519provoking, sometimes humorous look at death is designed for Bible studies, home group studies, individual study and for anyone who fears death."

Hopkins has scheduled a series of book signing events, listed at the Tribune-Star's website.

She's also the subject of another story in Greencastle's Banner-Graphic.
