A collection of poetry by English professor Eugene Gloria, “Sightseer in this Killing City,” has been shortlisted for the Eugene & Marilyn Glick Indiana Authors Award for poetry. The awards celebrate the best books by Indiana authors published in the past two years. Winners will be announced Sept. 1.
Deborah Douglas, the Eugene S. Pulliam distinguished visiting professor of journalism, had an article, “Meet the New Black Press,” published by Nieman Reports.
Pam Propsom, professor of psychology and neuroscience, will facilitate a Zoom session of the Greencastle League of Women Voters’ Continuing Community Conversation on Implicit Bias at 7 p.m. Aug. 12.
Derek Ford, assistant professor of education studies, and Masaya Sasaki ’22, an education studies major, have co-authored a paper, “The multitude beyond measure: Building a common stupor,” which appeared in the peer-reviewed journal Educational Philosophy and Theory. The paper is a result of an independent study during fall 2019.
