March 10, 2012

Thomas D. Hall, professor emeritus of sociology and anthropology at DePauw University, will speak at Ohio's Ashland University on Tuesday, March 20. Dr. Hall's appearance is part of a symposium, "Against Global Indifference."

The co-author of Indigenous Peoples and Globalization: Resistance and Revitalization, "Hall will explain why the history of survival of Native Americans and of indigenous peoples continues to have relevance for all human futures," notes the Mansfield News Journal. "The symposium, started in 2003, is dedicated to overcoming apathy in the face of human concerns by raising awareness and challenging people to see how individuals can make a difference."
