Emergency Tests & Drills

Emergency Response and Evacuation Testing

Fire and emergency evacuation drills are conducted in all Residence Halls (with occupancy of 15 or more residents) and Greek Living Units at or near the beginning of each semester.

  • Total time and compliance with evacuation procedures

  • Safe building evacuation procedures

  • Alarm notification procedures

  • Learning the locations and basic use of fire extinguishers

  • Common fire safety issues such as:

    • Candles

    • Open heat sources

    • Overloaded power strips or cords

  • Each drill is documented with the date, time, and circumstances.
