Frequently asked questions about reunions
Welcome, alumni and friends!
We are so excited to welcome back our alumni for both of our scheduled reunion weekends. As we continue to share schedule updates, we will be adding to our list of frequently asked questions.
REGISTRATION
It is not my class reunion year. May I still attend?
Of course! While we celebrate specific class milestones, everyone is invited back to campus for the event. Please refer to the reunion website for specific details on which classes we are returning to campus (and when) this June.
When does online registration open?
Online registration for all alumni will open on Monday, April 4, 2022 for both reunion weekends. An e-mail message will be sent to our alumni celebrating a reunion this year with the link.
The online registration link will also be available on our events calendar and the main Alumni Reunion Weekend page. In order to make sure you do not miss any announcements, we invite you to update your contact information.
What is the online registration deadline?
Online registration will close on Thursday, May 26, 2022. We encourage all of our alumni to register online ahead of this deadline.
After that date, we invite alumni who find themselves in Greencastle to come to the Bottoms Center to register in person.
May I register to attend the reunion after the online registration deadline?
DePauw's Alumni Reunion Weekend has historically been a well-attended, in-person event. We cannot guarantee meal tickets or on-campus lodging accommodations will be available for alumni who register after the online registration deadline or who arrive on campus without a reservation.
May I cancel my registration and obtain a refund?
Refund requests for registration and event costs (meals) will be handled by the Alumni Engagement Office at 765-658-4209. Cancellations made on or before May 20, 2022, will be refunded in full.
Lodging fees for those registered to stay on-campus in the residence halls can be refunded if the request is made no later than May 27, 2022.
Your confirmation email will contain all of these details as well as contact information.
Is there a registration fee?
Yes, there is a registration fee for Alumni Reunion Weekend. Registration helps to cover various expenses (table and chair rentals, printing and postage, additional security, custodial and other labor overtime, and general entertainment) of the weekend. The registration fee is $35/person.
I registered but forgot what I signed up for. How do I see this information?
Please refer to the confirmation email you received upon registering online; this will outline all of your sign ups and billed items.

LODGING
Can I stay in my fraternity/sorority?
Individual house corporations/house boards determine who can stay in their living units during reunions. We will do our best to update this page with the information we receive, but please feel free to check with your fraternity or sorority for additional information.
Chapters that will be offering this convenience for their alumni/alumnae will be emailing details about how to make reservations in the coming weeks. We suggest you make sure your contact information is up-to-date to ensure you are not missing out on those messages.
- As of April 14, 2022, the following chapters have communicated with the Office of Alumni Engagement that they are offering lodging for their alumni/alumnae: Alpha Chi Omega, Alpha Phi, and Kappa Kappa Gamma.
If my fraternity/sorority is open, how much is lodging?
Lodging in chapter facilities -- if the chapter is offering it for their alumni -- is set by the individual chapters/house corporations.
Can I stay in the residence halls? If so, how much is lodging in the residence halls for reunion weekend?
Yes, the residence halls are available for alumni who are registered and coming to reunion. Lodging in the residence halls is $80/night for a room. Once you complete your online event registration, the link to register for lodging in the residence halls can be found in the confirmation email.
What items will be provided in the residence hall rooms and what should I bring?
All residence hall rooms have window blinds, as well as a desk, chair, dresser, and bed for each guest. Linens, pillows, and wastebaskets are also provided within each room.
Guests are encouraged to bring items that they believe they will need, which may include: a shower caddy/shower shoes, towels (while towels are provided, they are small, and many previous guests have preferred to bring their own), hangers, alarm clock, iron/steamer, hairdryer (or other small appliance-style items) and reading light (to supplement the overhead light in each room).
FOOD & BEVERAGE
I have special dietary requirements. Will food options be available at all of the events?
Absolutely, but we need your help. When you are registering for the reunion, you will have the chance to indicate your dietary details. Please indicate your needs (with detail) on your registration form, and we will work with our catering department to meet your needs.
If I want to eat off-campus, what options are available?
Whether you are seeking fast food, a home-cooked meal, or a favorite item from one of the old haunts, there are many options available. Please click here to learn more.
What forms of payment are accepted for local and on-campus food and drink options?
At local restaurants, bars, and on-campus dining, cash or credit cards are accepted. There is also a PNC ATM located in the lower level of the Memorial Student Union Building, as well as other banking branches in town.
The reunion weekend schedule of events indicates if alcohol will be available for purchase (cash bar).
What does it mean when it says "this is a ticketed event" or "advance purchase" on the schedule?
Events that are ticketed or advance purchase require an RSVP/guest sign up as part of the online registration process. Some of our ticketed and advance purchase events do have a cost associated with them that includes food, refreshments, etc.
GENERAL
What about COVID and reunion?
DePauw’s mitigation team will continue to monitor and adjust COVID-19 regulations and procedures as necessary. Changes will occur if evidence suggests impacts on community infrastructure and/or individual health with new COVID-19 variants.
Attendees will be asked to follow all current campus COVID-19 policies while on campus for alumni reunion weekend. For information on DePauw's current procedures, please visit here.
Decision-making in attending Alumni Reunion Weekend is rooted in personal responsibility (I.e. vaccination status, mask-wearing, etc.) while considering the strain on the local health care systems. If you registered for reunion but are not feeling well, please stay home.
What should I wear to the reunion events?
Although the dress code is fairly casual for the weekend, class reunion dinners may vary. If you have a question about appropriate dress for these events, please contact one of your class reunion volunteers. We encourage our alumni to dress for the summer and perhaps bring a light layer if you tend to get cold in the air-conditioned indoors.
Where should I park while on campus? Will I need a parking permit?
Alumni and guests may park in any legal parking space on campus as parking permits are not needed during the weekend. There are sometimes construction projects taking place on campus during the summer, so please be sure to mind signage information. Any additional details will be emailed to attendees prior to your arrival on campus.
Can I park my RV on-campus?
No. There will not be on-campus parking for RVs during reunion weekend. Please explore local RV parks and campgrounds by searching online and calling their offices to explore further.
I cannot make the trip to Greencastle for the reunion. Will the events be live-streamed?
A number of our events will be recorded and available to our alumni community after both reunion weekends conclude.
