DePauw places eighth at Midwest Invitational

Madison, Wis. - The 17th-ranked women's tennis team finished eighth at the Midwest Invitational after finishing with a 1-3 record. The Tigers opened play with a 6-3 win over St. Mary's (Ind.) before losing to eventual champion and ninth-ranked Gustavus Adolphus. In the consolation bracket the Tigers lost to 28th-ranked Luther by a 5-4 score and to St. Catheringe by a 5-1 count. DePauw is now 7-13 on the season and host Carthage and Wheaton on Saturday.
