Ehinger earns ABCA all-America honors

Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw senior first baseman Kevin Ehinger was named a second team Division III all-America selection by the American Baseball Coaches Association. He is just DePauw's third baseball all-America choice and first since Tim Meyer was a second team selection in 1980. Steve Ray was a third team all-America pick in 1979.

 

Ehinger hit .415 on the season with a team-high 10 home rus and a school-record 65 runs batted in. He led the team with a .769 slugging percentage and was second with 43 runs and 113 total bases. Ehinger also led the team with 18 multiple-RBI games including six with four or more. He finished with a .992 fielding percentage with just three errors in 381 total chances. Ehinger finished his career by hitting safely in 15 straight games and in 35 games overall throughout the season.

 

The Tigers finished the season with a school-record 28 wins against just 14 losses.
