rusesabagina paul Rwanda New.jpgMarch 30, 2005, Greencastle, Ind. - A speech by Paul Rusesabagina in Louisville, Kentucky on April 24 -- the day before his Timothy and Sharon Ubben Lecture at DePauw University -- has been moved to a bigger venue for a second time. "Craig Buthod, Louisville Free Public Library director, said an 'overwhelming response' prompted the library to move the site" again, reports the Louisville Courier-Journal. It is now slated to be held in Whitney Hall, which can accommodate 2,406 people. Read more here.

Paul Rusesabagina, the central character in the Academy Award-nominated movie Hotel Rwanda," sheltered 1,200 people during the Rwandan genocide in 1994 and has been called "Rwanda's Schindler." His free speech at DePauw, "Hotel Rwanda: A Lesson Yet to Be Learned," will take place in Kresge Auditorium of the Performing Arts Center at 7:30 p.m. on April 25. The event is co-sponsored by DePauw's Office of Academic Affairs. Doors will open at 7 p.m. and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Read the original announcement by clicking here.
