Carrie Whittier '97 is President-Elect of Association of Fraternity Advisors

Carrie Whittier.jpgSeptember 21, 2007, Greencastle, Ind. - Carolyn E. Whittier, a 1997 graduate of DePauw University, is 2008 president-elect of the Association of Fraternity Advisors (AFA). Whittier serves as associate director of programs and educational services at Virginia Commonwealth University. AFA is an international organization providing resources, recognition and support for campus fraternity and sorority advising professionals.

At DePauw, Carrie Whittier was a member of Alpha Omicron Pi sorority and earned a Bachelor of Music degree. She went on to earn a master's degree in higher education administration from Ball State University, and a Ph.D. in philosophy from Virginia Commonwealth. Over Alumni Reunion Weekend in June, Whittier was honored by DePauw with a Community Leadership Award.
