Philip Clark '66 to Perform October 24 Piano Recital in Kansas

1540October 13, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Philip Clark, who received a master's degree in music from DePauw University in 1966, will perform a piano recital Sunday, October 24, at the Carnegie Arts Center in Leavenworth, Kansas. The Leavenworth Times reports, "This concert marks more than 20 years of performances provided by Clark for the center. For this performance, Clark will play Partita No. 2 in C minor by Bach, Nocturne in G minor and Impromptu in F-sharp major by Chopin, Arabesque by Schumann, and Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2 by Liszt."

The article notes Clark's DePauw degree and that he is employed at Combined Arms Research Library at Fort Leavenworth and serves as the organist at All Nations Seventh Day Adventist Church and pianist at Christ Unity Church, both located in Leavenworth. He is a former assistant professor of music at Tougaloo College in Mississippi.
