Three DePauw Faculty Members are Promoted

EAST COLLEGE TOWER hdrMay 21, 1982, Greencastle, Ind. - Three DePauw University faculty members have been promoted, according to an announcement by Richard F. Rosser, president of the University.  The promotions are effective July 1.

Thomas D. Fitzpatrick has been promoted to professor of music from associate professor of music. Fitzpatrick, who teaches voice and serves as director of opera/musical theatre, joined the DePauw faculty in 1963.  He holds the B.A. from St. Ambrose College, the B.S. from the Juilliard School of Music, the Diploma from the Rome Opera School and the Master of Music degree from Indiana University.

James M. Mannon has been promoted to associate professor of sociology from assistant professor of sociology. Mannon holds three degrees from Southern Illinois University, including the doctorate which he earned in 1975, the same year he joined the DePauw faculty.

ASBURY HALLPatricia Ritter has been promoted to professor of nursing from associate professor of nursing. Ritter has served two terms on the DePauw faculty, first from 1960 to 1972 and later from 1974 to the present.  She is a graduate of the Methodist Hospital School of Nursing.  She received the B.S. and M.S. in nursing education from Indiana University.
