New Employee Orientation
Welcome to DePauw University! We are thrilled to have you join our team! We want to ensure your first day at DePauw makes you feel at home and you receive all the information necessary to make your first day successful.
What will your orientation day look like?

The day will begin at 9:00 am in the Administration Building, Office of Human Resources, located at 313 S. Locust Street.

You may park across the street in Visitor Parking.

You will be required to present your identification document(s) before orientatin begins. A list of acceptable documents will be emailed to you prior to oreintation day.

During orientation you will learn the history and culture of DePauw, our strategic plan, along with some fun facts. Policies and procedures will be reviewed, with a complete list of policies provided on the Office of Human Resources website. Title IX training is required and will be completed individually as part of onboarding requirements.

Directions about how to obtain a Parking permits will be provided.

ID cards will be obtained.

At 11:30 am, your supervisor will accompany you to lunch.

IT Orientation begins at 1:15 pm. It will assist you with logging into Workday. After logging in, you will receive all of your onboarding documents and tasks to complete. Your Federal I9 form must be completed before the end of the day per Federal requirements.

A Benefits Orientation will be held for all Benefit-eligible employees at 2:30 pm.

Your day ends at approximately 3:30 pm.

An email will be sent to you prior to your first day with an agenda outlining locations and times for each orientataion session.
How to prepare for Orientation:

Please bring social security numbers and birthdays of any dependents you will be adding to your insurance.

You will need your license plate number to receive your parking permit.

Please bring the required ID from the list of acceptable documents that will be emailed to you prior to orientation.
