Computing offers many types of lucrative careers.
According to the Association of Computing Machinery: "Computing jobs are among the highest paid and have the highest job satisfaction. Computing is very often associated with innovation, and developments in computing tend to drive it. This, in turn, is the key to national competitiveness. The possibilities for future developments are expected to be even greater than they have been in the past."

Recent graduates have taken jobs at companies including Microsoft, Google, Price Waterhouse, Accenture, West Monroe Partners, America Online, JP Morgan Chase, and Eli Lilly. Other graduates have gone to graduate schools such as Stanford, University of Michigan, Georgia Tech, University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, Northwestern, Dartmouth, Indiana University, Purdue University, and New York University. Students with graduate degrees have found plentiful jobs in industry (Google research, Microsoft research) or as faculty members at colleges and universities across the country. Still other graduates have gone to law school, medical school, and business school before starting their careers.
