Women's Basketball Team's Record Season Ends With 76-60 Loss to Hope in NCAA Quarterfinals

March 11, 2006

DSC_0143.jpgMarch 11, 2006, Greencastle, Ind. - Two teams entered tonight's NCAA Division III women's basketball quarterfinal game with only one loss each all season long, and that, of course, had to change by evening's end.  Hope College proved to be too much for DePauw University. The visitors from Michigan (31-1) prevailed at Lilly Center, 76-60, and advance to the tourney's final four. The setback ends DePauw's season with a 29-2 mark and concludes the Tigers' record 28-game winning streak.

Freshman Cassie Pruzin led the Tigers tonight with 16 points. Senior Liz Bondi added 12.
