DePauw Recaptures Monon Bell in a Thriller; See the Video

November 12, 1955, Greencastle, Ind. - DePauw University recaptured the Monon Bell for the first time in seven years with a field goal as time expired in one of the storied rivalry's most breathtaking finishes. The final score was 23-20. The crowd stormed the field after Fred Williams, a fullback, connected from 18 yards out on his first career field goal try as time expired.
DePauw fans celebrated by storming the field. The Tigers and head coach Mike Snavely finish the season with a 5-4 record.
