You're Invited to the Year's First Community Convocation Monday Night

September 25, 2004, Greencastle, Ind. - To celebrate the DePauw University community and bring together students, staff, and faculty to reflect on important community principles, Student Services will be hosting several convocations this year. The first in the series of DePauw Community Convocations will take place Monday, September 27 at 7 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center's Kresge Auditorium. All members of the community are welcome.

Assistant professor of English Joe Heithaus will be giving the keynote address, "Ladies' Nights and Lost Students: A Plea For Intellectual Engagement at DePauw." The program will also feature student speakers, remarks by President Robert G. Bottoms, a performance by the DePauw Gospel Choir, and a short videotape of interviews with DePauw students, faculty, and staff.

Brumby, assistant dean of students and director of community development. "It is our goal to spur discussion and thought around these important, yet little discussed, concepts. We hope you can join us in celebrating our community and kicking off the year in this way."
