Goodnight, Hackenberg Lead Tigers to 37-6 Monon Bell Victory

November 16, 1957

November 16, 1957, Greencastle, Ind. - The address of the treasured Monon Bell will remain the same for a third straight year, the result of this afternoon's 37-6 DePauw victory over Wabash College at Blackstock Stadium. Wabash scored first, but DePauw stunned the Little Giants with three touchdowns in the first half, and another three in the final period.

DePauw's winning effort was led by the nation's top small college quarterback, Morrie Goodnight, and fellow senior Dick Hackenberg, who gained 105 yards on 18 carries and caught two touchdown passes.

The Tigers finish the season with a 6-2 record.
