NH Newspaper Recalls Rae Dawn Chong's 2007 Visit to DePauw

Rae Dawn Chong 010.jpgJuly 12, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. — Actress and screenwriter Rae Dawn Chong will teach a screenwriting course to teens in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, this month.  Foster's Daily Democrat of Southeast New Hampshire and Southern Maine notes,"Chong has previously done a three-week workshop at DePauw University in 2007 where she worked with students on acting for the camera."

The article by Roni Reino notes, "Chong has been in more than 60 films and television shows since she began acting as a girl and has expanded to screenwriting in the last 10 years." She's appeared in films such as Quest for Fire, The Color Purple and Films Movies.jpgCommando. "She recently returned from New Orleans filming for the movie Jeff Who Lives At Home with Jason Segel, Judy Greer and Susan Sarandon."

While at DePauw, Chong starred in Rhythms -- a play written and directed by Chris White, associate professor of English at DePauw, and produced by Tim Good, associate professor of communication and theatre at the University. It was staged at both the University and the Phoenix Theatre in Indianapolis.
