On Work, Curiosity, and Risk / Professor Deepa Prakash

My top three tips are simple:

  1. Put in the work and do the readings.

  1. Be curious. Go above and beyond to learn and retain the material while taking ownership and generating your own take.

  1. Take intellectual risks. Don't always take the easy path just to get the grade. Be genuine in your learning.

And, for good measure, here are three more:

  1. Find what you love.

  1. Contribute to your own education; don't just be a passive participant.

  1. Success is not the GPA; it's what you take away.
