DePauw Ranked 12th in National Softball Poll

April 21, 2010, Greencastle, Ind. —  After extending its win streak to 16 with a four-game sweep of Centre last weekend, DePauw dropped one spot to 12th in the latest Division III softball rankings by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association.

The Tigers totaled 107 points in the weekly rankings. Louisiana College tops the national rankings with all eight first-place votes and 200 total points. East Texas Baptist is second followed by Ohio Northern, Luther and Texas-Tyler.

DePauw is 30-3 after yesterday's doubleheader sweep of Anderson and opens Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Tournament play on Friday at 4 p.m. CDT when it faces either Southwestern or Centre. The tournament is hosted by Hendrix College. OFFICIAL SITE (links to live stats and live video)
