Form 1098T and Form 1042S Information
In accordance with federal law, DePauw issues Form 1098-T annually for students and parents to determine eligibility for educational credits. This document will be mailed to the student’s home address no later than January 31st each year. The form will include the amount of tuition and required enrollment fees paid as well as the amount of financial aid received.
Current students may opt in to receive this documentation electronically from their Student e-Services screen. They should select Financial> Opt In/Out Online IRS Forms and then check the appropriate box(es) at the bottom of the page.
If a student needs a duplicate 1098T, the student must complete a “Request for IRS Form” that is available in the Business Office. This form must be signed by the student. For assistance, please see Publication 970 from the Department of Treasury, Internal Revenue Service.
IRS Form 1042-S is an annual information return for any monetary amounts given to a non-resident alien by a United States based institution or business. Document will be mailed to student’s home address no later than March 15th each year.
