Emergency Response and Reporting

The DePauw Police Department operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, throughout the year.
We strongly encourage prompt reporting of all criminal or suspicious activity.

  • To report an incident: Call 765-658-5555 or dial 911.

  • Upon notification, an officer will be dispatched to your location.

  • All reports are investigated, and prompt resolutions are pursued.

Collaboration with Local Law Enforcement

The DePauw Police Department maintains close partnerships with:

  • Greencastle City Police

  • Putnam County Sheriff’s Office

  • Indiana State Police

  • Federal Agencies

These agencies share reports involving off-campus incidents, assist with investigations when needed, and contribute to the Annual Security and Fire Safety Report. DePauw officers may also assist local agencies during emergencies or safety operations within defined jurisdictions.
